Tom Hsu

Tom, Hsu was born in 1991 April 17 in Taipei of Taiwan, from four years old namely with his parents travel the whole world in every year winter and summer vacation. His footprint spreads over more than 25 nations, therefore he has cultivated open-minded with rich experience and extensive knowledge, and cheery and optimistic nature. Meanwhile he had the courage full of adventure characteristic. Tom and mother, aunt and uncle’s self-service travel are taken together tripped to South Island and North Island in New Zealand on July in 2000 around 22 days, hence in love with this beautiful land. And he had the activity of 2001 study-abroad trip, attended at the language school of Queen Street of Auckland for a month in July, that year, this will also become him to choose in the future studies abroad New Zealand's origin, as well he feels people are in this beautiful country of amicability and passionate.

On July of 2005, Tom accompanied by the parents again to visit to New Zealand, Tom and his mother at the same time in Elim Christian College subsidiary of the English school to learn English. In 2006 formal admission to Elim Christian College student year 10, the same year on November 26 in Auckland, Eastern Taiwan baptized into the Christian church blessing, and enthusiastic participation in church various activities. He was also in December 2007 to return to Taiwan to participate in two weeks of missionary activities, for renews on life with the realization.

Tom he can quickly types computer and has high interest to the computer operation. In addition he likes play the badminton, play the table tennis, and play the basketball very well. He also likes to ride a horse, rides a bicycle, play Chinese diabolo (a kind of bigger yo-yo), have learned two years of the piano, three years of the calligraphy (use Chinese brush-pen lettering), and the swimming lesson of three and half years as well, and so forth.  Primary school time of he, once attended the Boy Scout activity of two years and the Kendo clubs of a year.  Tom in the high school attended hand ball team had for two years and had many times to performance. Besides, he joining the association activity of school, he can run to jump like a normal teenage. He was often in the outdoors activities he participated in a number of students training camp battle field, and attended fire fight to extinguish fire to flee for life as well to decline training with high vertical drop in Taiwan. And his whole life has never performed any surgical operation, is also to almost sick with colds rarely have a very healthy child.

Tom has a few others are aware of specialty, which is drawing expertise from the primary school he began studying sketching and painting. His creations all has from the sketch works to the oil painting work that he also earned some awards. And Tom’s parents still keeps his about 60 paintings and some his work of the handicraft arts at present. Therefore he is the child whom a static state activity and the dynamic state activities all like.

Tom has a positive and with bright smile face, he is happy to participate in school activities and outside various competitions. He has popular with the teachers and the students certainly, be honored more to hold the post of the school's international student leader and student counseling in 2008. He has very good relationships, like and all countries of the friends, classmates associate, not only the younger group of friends, but also have many adult’s friends.

Tom has a kind of the heart, like to help people, he is also a very savvy and considerate child, is a caring child as long as he's there, certainly has the mirth and laughter. He is the father and mother the only most love; are relatives the best child in heart, and the hearts of the students the best friends partner.

OPC tragedy gave us infinite pain forever, we lost our dear son, although the flood took him, we have million upon millions to reluctant to let go, but did not take us with him miss! We remember fondly with him forever and he is in our hearts lasting precious position!

As I knew that Tom was a lovely boy. He is a youth of wide scope, and wide-ranging interests helped him made friends easily. His kindness and considerate of everyone let him made all level of age friends. He was so brave come, then brave go. We all know he was so wonderful boy that he was always thoughtful of friends and relatives. He always shows his love to his friends and family. And he always full of brilliance ideas and energies. He is as a man, friend, and youth students in his life. Everything was done just as he wanted. What a tough guy he was.
